Design sprint
We completed a design sprint to focus in the main problems we discovered through speaking with mums and pregnant women. This involved a 3 day exploration, delving into the problems, looking at inspiration and interviewing some mums.
Solution sketching
As design lead my main contribution was ideation, wireframing and prototype design. Through design workshops and usability testing we developed an app that displays data transmitted from a wearable device. Worked with a Product Manager and a team of Engineers to create a viable solution with short iterative sprints.
As lead designer I also built the Bitbaby brand through a brand workshop, creating and developing concepts and defining the values for the company. These are the brand bible to which we adhere to for everything Bitbaby.
Other contributions include, supporting marketing on any marketing collateral as well as website design and build.
Design and branding workshops, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing and user interviews. App UI design, working to the lean methodology in design sprints, liaising with product team and key stakeholders. Producing brand logo and collateral, website and marketing materials.
Visualising raw data from a wearable device into a user friendly experience. Usability testing proved that pregnant women understood the data displayed. Creating engaging content to enhance user experience and on-board users.
Ensuring the correct tone and language is used when discussing a very sensitive subject. Having a domain expert is key, the wealth of knowledge and experience is invaluable especially when developing a language that is fitting and appropriate. Translating data with domain expertise is essential.
